Many thanks Austin. Looks very much like I will wait until October and then load the 32 bit versions of both and see what happens. I am totally determined to work only with Ubuntu so don't see any good reason to purchase an OS from Microsoft just to run iTunes. Will see if I can get things to work come October and if not I will be forced to beg or borrow. Once again thanks vm
