I had reported a week or so ago that recent changes to Ubuntu karmic had made sound stutter. These bugs have been worked on. As of yesterday, sound is better -- if not perfect -- for me. in wine, OSS works with padsp ALSA works if you run killall pulseaudio in terminal first
