Mac OSX 10.5 here.
I'm having lots of trouble with Darwine.
When I try to launch an app I get the following sign (sometimes):

X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
This is because Leopard does not always start on screen 0. This is to
fix a well known vulnerability in X.
This is fixed in Mike Kroenberg's Darwine port...
Please get and use his port. It uses a script to launch Wine to check
and set the DISPLAY environment variable.
