$ WINEPREFIX=~/.ies4linux/ie6 wineboot
Registration of c:\windows\system32\StdOle2.Tlb successful.


Started IE6

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Settings;
MS VM still can't be found.  Only java (Sun) is there.
