I had a similar problem with EQ. It seemed to happen when I turned on some of the options like vertex and pixel shaders and dynamic lighting. It wouldn't do anything to the game until I logged out and tried to log back in though. I don't know if WoW has a text file that stores all of the options like EQ does, but I would try playing around with it if it does. On 5/18/07, michael lang <kingoipo@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I have this really weird problem, namely that Warcraft 3 makes my screen turn dark, and unresponsive. I can move the mouse, my music keeps playing and even Pidgin keeps editing the logs. This only happens in OpenGL mode(whether I make a virtual desktop or not seems to not matter, or whether I use the -window switch for war3, seems to not matter either). I also tried out some normal OpenGL programs, like glxgears, and it ran fine. I added the error log, and was hoping that any of you could help me with this?
