First of all, it's a bit late for this, but I would /not/ use a snapshot release of FreeBSD, those are more likely to have bugs. At least, not until after you get a normal setup working. Next, I'd use csup to get your ports, instead of cvsup. If you need more help, you can use the freebsd-questions mailing list. The things that you may not recognize, I got from the Gentoo forums on WoW/Wine.
