Re: Soul Reaver 2 v1.01 sound buffer underrun

Dean,

thanks for your quick response. I fiddled around with my wine settings (and
game settings too), checked out the registry entries from
http://wiki.winehq.com/UsefulRegistryKeys, and must say that these problems
with the sound are much bigger when ALSA is on. When running SR2 with OSS
(ALSA unchecked) there are still minor problems with the sound, but they are
nothing compared with the sound "effects" with ALSA turned on. Also I found
out another problem with the game, but it's related to the graphics. I turned
off vertex and pixel shaders, because when they are turned on - only the
movies appear OK, everything else is dark and brownish. But even with shaders
off, after a while the game display starts to look like many random and
scattered triangle polygons with different colors. When moving the mouse
occasionally the display "auto corrects" and for a second I am able to take a
glimpse at the game, and then the image again turns into pink, blue green
triangles. I was not able to take a screenshot yet, but I will do that next
time when this happens.
