	If GNOME can choose smart positions for windows like KDE then this will be 
done automatically. Just see what settings your window manager have. For 
example, my resolution is 1280x1024. I'm opening two windows with 640 pixels 
width. If first window opens at left border of the screen then second window 
will be placed automatically at the right without overlapping.
	Also in KDE you can use DCOP for control windows from the command line. Don't 
know if this is possible with GNOME.
