What version of Wine are you using? > I did. Which part of it is up to date ? It is very confusing, there are a few very different guides to installing IE.
The HOWTO only lists one set of instructions for installing IE under the heading "Installation". The point is, you don't need instructions anymore because it runs with 'wine ie6setup.exe'.
