No native DLL's or anything funky. Just a vanilla install of FC5, used Add/Remove software to install wine, then winecfg to switch to ALSA sound driver and to enable desktop windowed mode. Wine version is 0.9.17 Warcraft III installer runs perfectly - no problem. Attempt to start WCIII with 'wine "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -opengl -window' results in the splash screen showing in the windowed desktop, gamma seems to shift for the whole display, CD is located, then seems to have trouble as the windowed display goes blank. Without the window I lose the display completely and have trouble restarting X as I also sometimes lose my keyboard. Output on the terminal results in this particular line repeating indefinetly: [FAIL] s_pGraph->QueryInterface(IID_IMediaPosition, (void **)&pMP) = -2147467262 Now, I'm no great programmer, but it looks as though that last figure is MIN_INT? My main concern is to figure out where this failure is coming from - video? Sound? Something else?
