If you install Wine in /usr/bin/wine, the wine executable should be /usr/bin/wine/bin/wine

No, it is in /usr/bin/wine - do give me some degree of credit for not being a complete moron: if I didn't have the right path I would not be able to execute ANYTHING.

The specific configuration I used was "--prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/bin/wine" - since the libraries already go to their own directory, there is no need to isolate them - it is only the binaries that do not, by default, go to their own directory.
