If I can help you by trying to install some packages I will do so. You told me
to install alsa-dev packages. Is your point valid with cups-dev? That would
be
libcupsimage2-dev - Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - image development files
libcupsys2-dev - Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - development files
If you compiled Wine, then yes you need the cups-dev. If you installed a
binary version, than you don't need to install the development files.
Sorry about steering you wrong with the alsa-devel stuff.
