Some possible issues I can think of:
- Are you using a 64bit environment?
- Is 'lo' up? ('ifconfig' to check)
- Are you using ipv6?
Loopback adapter is fine and I'm not on ipv6. I have a 32 bits cpu.
We're two persons on Fedora with that problem. Must be something dist-related, maybe some kernel option.
