There is indeed a manifest file in the same directory, which contains the dll filename, plus some other info that could be needed to access the file, now that you mention it.. I think wine doesn't know to look for it at the moment.. I renamed it and the problem remained exactly the same, so I'd guess that the manifest file was ignored. Well I guess that's good news too.. If that's it, it's not some obscure bug , but something that can be implemented.
