printing

if i understand things correctly, wine should run apps even if no
printer is available - right?

the reason i ask is i have an application that makes wine report "no
active printers available" then exits. i tried commenting out LP stuff
in the config file, so i conclude this application will only run when
printer(s) are available. my printer configuration is another can of
worms so i was hoping to skate by this way.
