Hello,

after a fresh install on and amd64, nvidia, linux 2.6.16, i get this
error after starting wine:

bowman@discovery ~ $ winecfg wine: creating configuration directory '/home/bowman/.wine'...

operation) Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)

wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/home/bowman/.wine'.
bowman@discovery ~ $ wineserver: could not save registry branch
to /home/bowman/.wine-OoqhXd/system.reg : No such file or directory
wineserver: could not save registry branch
to /home/bowman/.wine-OoqhXd/user.reg : No such file or directory

It works, if i compile wine without opengl support, but i need opengl,
couse i want to play half-life with wine. I am using xorg 7.0, maybe
that is the problem?

Kind Regards

Flo

as you haven't had any responses yet,

:s just another wild guess, but -- are you sure you are compiling with the correct nvidia headers? I do not know much about X errors but I'd guess it's trying to use opengl in an incorrect way :-/
