It copies recursively the entire ~/.wine to ~/.ies4linux/base and then to ~/.ies4linux/ie6. However, all symbolic links are also followed. In the end it tries to copy my whole home directory to "My Documents" folder under "windows/profiles/username". Disabling it by "cp -PR" just stops the script. Anyway, it seems ies4linux bluntly unCABs and copies all the files from the 77MB-package instead of running installer and doing internet install (what I am trying to do). I tried unCABbing the package manually, but there's again this "ie6setup.exe" which fails exactly with the same error ("Could not download necessary components"). Trying to override the DLLs with "user.reg" and "system.reg" supplied by ies4linux doesn't help - it says "cannot find ole32". The problem is now more precise: how to install IE6 using IE installer (ie6setup.exe) under FreeBSD 6.0 using wine-0.9.8? P.S. DCOM98 and mfc4 seem to be installed (any reliable way to check for sure?) P.P.S.
