Hi folks I"ve downloaded and installed wine on RedHat 8, kernel 2.4.19 (and 20) The install for Mechwarrior 2 has run without errors. When I give it: wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Activision/Mech2/MECH2.EXE I get an error window saying: "You must insert the MECHWARRIOR 2 CD into your CD-ROM drive." Of course, its already there and the drive was mounted with the command mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom and I've used winecfg to set up wine to think of /mnt/cdrom as d: [markj@localhost markj]$ ls -l .wine/dosdevices/ total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 markj markj 10 Feb 27 16:28 c: -> ../drive_c lrwxrwxrwx 1 markj markj 11 Mar 3 14:37 d: -> /mnt/cdrom/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 markj markj 11 Feb 27 16:29 h: -> /home/markj lrwxrwxrwx 1 markj markj 1 Feb 27 16:28 z: -> / Has anyone worked with Mechwarrior 2 (Win95 version) and wine? Any ideas what to try next?
