Hello I have been trying to get WinMDI (a program for reading flow cytometry data in windows) working under wine. WinMDI has an appdb entry of http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=2850 . I had the early versions of this program working under wine 20050930 and 20050725. I recently upgraded from 20050930 to 0.9.7 on my FreeBSD 6.0 box, and tried to run the same version that worked under the earlier wine versions. The application no longer runs at all - it gives me the following error output: -------- > wine /mnt/flotsam/winmdi_early/WINMDI.EXE err:heap:HEAP_CreateSystemHeap system heap base address 0x80000000 not available wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0xffffffff at address 0x11f7:0x00000035 (thread 000a), starting debugger... err:heap:HEAP_CreateSystemHeap system heap base address 0x80000000 not available WineDbg starting on pid 0x8 Couldn't initiate DbgHelp Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0xffffffff in 16-bit code (11f7:0035). I am able to run some other windows programs, for example the notepad and windows help program that ships with wine, as well as the pinball program that comes with windows XP. My system is set to dual boot between freebsd 6.0 and windows XP pro. I have not configured wine to use anything from windows XP (after reading the FAQ that encourages against this). thank you Lee Parsons _______________________________________________ wine-users mailing list wine-users@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.winehq.org/mailman/listinfo/wine-users
