Hi there, I used VB 6.0 quite a few times in the past. wrote an little app at work which reads appointments from exchange server and writes them in an access database and so on. IMHO Gambas i a very nice programming Language and IDE. quite familiar to VB-Programmers in some cases, but proper object-oriented and multi-threading capable on the other hand. But it is NOT a VB clone! So don't expect to copy your sourcecode in the Gambas IDE and get it to compile. The worlds are too different. windows API-code will never work in gambas and all that stuff. So gambas is a very nice IDE for VB-programmers who want give linux a try. (uses QT as graphics lib) But porting a VB-project in gmabas is not done in a few minutes. so i suggest you try using wine. and if you want to do some serious VB-like development on linux, use gambas. greetings, Chris Am Montag, den 09.01.2006, 09:33 -0800 schrieb Dan Kegel: > On 1/8/06, Dan Kegel <dank@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > >We have 50 complex applications written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 > > >providing banking solutions.
