Did you try different Huh. I insatlled wine wine-20040309 and nothing else. When installing office (2000 sr1)I followed someone else's instructions and insatlled minimal IE componenets only, and then word, power point, excel and tools minus assistants. Do I need to install IE6? I thought IE doesn't work under wine or am I wrong? Or is it all about libraries? Sorry for stupidity, but what is DCOM98? As far as errors, it starts with fixme:ole:OLEFontImpl_QueryTextMetrics (0x440e03a8, 0x406d9eb4), stub! fixme:ole:OLEFontImpl_QueryTextMetrics (0x440e7138, 0x406d9eb4), stub! fixme:ole:SPCF_CreateInstance (0x41c83908,(nil),{00000000-0000-0000-c000-000000000046},0x406da2d8), creating stdpic with PICTYPE_NONE. fixme:ole:SPCF_CreateInstance (0x41c83908,(nil),{00000000-0000-0000-c000-000000000046},0x406da2d8), creating stdpic with PICTYPE_NONE. err:ole:ITypeInfo_fnInvoke did not find member id -611, flags 4! fixme:typelib2:ICreateTypeInfo2_fnAddRefTypeInfo (0x43dedf40,0x43deaf30,0x406dedac), pTInfo from different typelib. fixme:typelib2:ICreateTypeInfo2_fnAddRefTypeInfo (0x43dee168,0x442c59e0,0x406dedb0), pTInfo from different typelib. then a lot of similar garbage and ends with fixme:typelib2:ctl2_encode_typedesc PTR vartype, may not work correctly. fixme:typelib2:ctl2_encode_typedesc PTR vartype, may not work correctly. fixme:typelib2:ICreateTypeInfo2_fnSetFuncAndParamNames (0x43dedf40,229,L"Xtrans2",2), stub! wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger... > 2. Here is my normal advice: Use wine-20031212 or the 200403xx, not the > ones in between. Install IE6 first with method three from Frank`s > Corner. Install Office2k and SR1 for it. Than try again! Ok, will try that. Cheers, anze _______________________________________________ wine-users mailing list wine-users@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.winehq.org/mailman/listinfo/wine-users
