The problem I sometimes encounter is strange. Everything is fine, then at some point there is a sudden lag, and from that point on the sound is very choppy and the game becomes slow. What I do is turn off the sound (helps a little) and restart the game after I finish my game. Happens maybe one game out of 15.
I'm on Fedora + Kernel 2.4.24 + 512MB RAM, jan2004 wine (dont remember exactly the number).
After playing warcraft 3 (same thing with Diablo 2) for a while, the game crashes with an Out of Memory error. I'm unsure as to why it says it is out of memory since there still seems to plenty of swap space available. It seems to conincide with running out of actual RAM memory, but it's hard to be sure. Has anyone else seen this problem?
