That's exactly what I found.  FreeBSD 4.8 and the Jan 21 2004 version of
Wine hangs during Installshield.  I haven't tried it under Linux, but since
the app is supposed to work even under Windows 95, I can't imagine it
wouldn't work.  The port maintainer for the FreeBSD version said there is
low-level locking that is Linux-specific that has caused problems with the
FreeBSD version.
