segfault with 2.6.0 kernel

I'm trying to use wine on a Fedora Core 1 system with
the 2.6.0 kernel. I'm using the
wine-20031212-1fc1winehq.i686.rpm package.

wine execs wine-pthread, and wine-pthread segfaults
immediately.

It segfaults pretty quickly:
$ strace wine-pthread
execve("/usr/bin/wine-pthread", ["wine-pthread"], [/*
37 vars */]) = 0
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++

The stack trace is pretty uninteresting:
Core was generated by `wine-pthread'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
#0  0x00a85c50 in stderr ()
(gdb) bt
#0  0x00a85c50 in stderr ()
(gdB)

Is this build supposed to work with 2.6.0?
