That worked although I am also installing on a WINXP/RH9 dual boot
machine. I'm a little anxious about running it this an NT partition. So
far only the notepad test worked (no new files created, just running
notepad). I couldn't get word, excel or outlook to open, nor any PC
games that I have on the WINXP partition.

Is it safe to use wine with a WINXP partition? I know what the
documentation says but is it REALLY safe?
