The deb packages are the same version, but maybe an error was done while packing them?
Possibly. I think I have seen several postings recently from people having problems with the deb Wine. Perhaps temporarily uninstall and try a version from somewhere else, or even get the source and compile (which is not as hard as it seems at first).
