What sequence of events occurred? Did you try and run an exe on the CD through Wine? Is it an msi? Were you expecting autorun to help you out? Did it say what "this type of file" is? Maybe even tell us what program you are installing? What did the AppDB say? Perhaps you need to assign the path where the CD is mounted a drive letter in winecfg. Jake
