I need, because of my work, to find a way to run certain e-learning app. created by esoteric authorware and designed only for Win, under LinEx , a Debian distro (see www.linex.org). When running the app under wine, I get: "please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5." The program then runs, but fonts look terrible. I am a newbie, have been to www.Freetype.org and there is a bewildering array of packages there: 1. Which one do I need? 2. Version - i.e. gz, tar, deb, etc? 3. How do I download it, under Mozilla or from console mode, if from console mode, as user or root? 4. Where do I put it as I download it? 5. Once downloaded, what should I do with it, i.e. how do I unpack and install it. What should I type in console mode and what should I expect to see? 6. Or is there another workaround which allows me to use the fonts already in my Win partition 7. Anything else I should know? many thanks, Rick _______________________________________________ wine-users mailing list wine-users@winehq.com http://www.winehq.com/mailman/listinfo/wine-users
