I have succesfully installed a greek-english dictionary under wine and the greek fonts don't appear correctly, here is the FONTS part of my wine.conf:
[fonts] ;Read the Fonts topic in the Wine User Guide before adding aliases ;See a couple of examples for russian users below "Resolution" = "120" "Default" = "-adobe-helvetica-" "DefaultFixed" = "fixed" "DefaultSerif" = "-adobe-times-" "DefaultSansSerif" = "-adobe-helvetica-"
; default TrueType fonts with greek encoding "Default" = "-monotype-arial-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-7" "DefaultFixed" = "-monotype-arial-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-7" "DefaultSerif" = "-monotype-arial-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-7" "DefaultSansSerif" = "-monotype-arial-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-7" ; default greek bitmap X fonts "Default" = "-cronyx-helvetica-" "DefaultFixed" = "fixed" "DefaultSerif" = "-cronyx-times-" "DefaultSansSerif" = "-cronyx-helvetica-"
; the TrueType font dirs you want to make accessible to wine [FontDirs] "dir1" = "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF"
All i have done is to add the name of the TTF fonts with greek support(-iso8859-7) but i get nothing.
I would really appreciate any help from you
Yours Sincerely
Stelios Papaioanou M.D
