This is not silly, the project exists in the first place to help to answer this question ;-) [skipped] > I would like to install MSWLOGO in the PC for my > children. > > As I'm totally new to this stuff, I'm not sure which > files I have to > download. Source distribution is not that much more difficult and is better suited for developers. > I have read the Wine documentation which looks OK > but at the time of > installing the compiler I can’t make install. I expect you read the README file in the source installation, right? The preferred and easiest method of installation is running the wineinstall tool (see the README). Report the problems here if it fails. If you decided to compile it manually, did you call "./configure" before calling "make install"? What exactly error messages did you get with "make install"? > Then > I’ve tried the Codewavers Wine > setup, that was easy but when I try ti setup MSWLOGO > the computer freezes on > the blue setup screen. Again, report the details of the problem, version of the Codeweavers Wine. Be sure you uninistalled the previously installed Wine. In any bug report mention version of your operating system.
