She completed her PhD studies in Volcanology at UNAM and later became a postdoctoral researcher at the University of South Florida working on distributed volcanism. Her interest in distributed volcanism lies in the interpretation of the origin and evolution of magmas, eruptive dynamics, and the spatio-temporal evolution of the activity in monogenetic volcanic fields. In this webinar, Carmen will discuss how the analysis of volcanoes in the volcanic fields of Central Mexico has allowed us to identify spatial and temporal distribution patterns of past eruptions.
