CEU: 1.00.* *Description*: The Clear Lake Volcanic Field has erupted basalt through rhyolite during the Quaternary. Burgeoning winemaking in the region produces world-class wines from vines grown on volcanic rocks. We will spend the day examining the volcanic diversity of the field and tasting wines from grapes grown on its soils. Cost includes transportation, lunch, snacks, and water.
