for
the IAVCEI 2025 Scientific Assembly, which will be take place in Geneva,
Switzerland from June 29th to July 4th.
We encourage you to consider submitting your abstract to the following
session which is supported by the IAVCEI Commission on Monogenetic
Volcanism. The abstract deadline is December 20, but if you want to apply
for grant funding the deadline is November 15. See form at

We hope to receive your contribution!
*Theme: 3. Volcanic processes*
â??*Small-scale volcanoes and their large-scale volcanic contextâ??*
Small-scale volcanic systems are the most widespread type of volcanism on
Earth and occur in all of the main tectonic settings. Small volcanoes, or
small-scale volcanic systems, can be embedded in, independent of, or
gradational to larger volcanoes and systems. Some eruptive processes and
products are unique to small-scale volcanoes, but others overlap with
larger-scale systems. This session welcomes submissions that cover the
processes and products of small volume eruptions and their applications to
understanding eruption histories, processes, hazards and the volcanic
fields in which they occur. Topics may include physical volcanology,
stratigraphy, field geology, geochemistry, petrology, geophysics, modeling,
along with environmental, cultural heritage, economic and hazard aspects
related to monogenetic systems. We welcome discussions of monogenetic
volcanoes, distributed volcanic systems, and other small or short-lived
systems.
