The *deadline to submit Expressions of Interest is 1 December 2024*!!
Living and conducting research based in the Canary Islands, Spain, is
awesome. This could be your opportunity to join us! The *Instituto
Volcanológico de Canarias *(INVOLCAN) and the *Environmental Research
Division* of the *Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables* (ITER)
seek 3 postdoctoral researchers to join their research program.

We are seeking postdoctoral researchers with the following profiles:

   - *Volcano geodesy:* Processing and interpretation of GNSS and InSAR
data in volcanic environments. Expertise in managing and operating
permanent and temporary GNSS networks and numerical modelling skills in
   volcano geodesy are desirable.
   -
*Geophysics:* Processing and interpreting geophysical datasets
(seismological, potential fields, electromagnetics) for continuous volcano
monitoring and surface geothermal exploration surveys are required. Skills
in installing, managing, and operating geophysical instruments (permanent
and temporary seismic stations, gravimeters, spontaneous potential,
   magnetotelluric) are also required.
   -
*Fluid Geochemistry:* Processing and interpreting fluid geochemistry
datasets (diffuse degassing, fumaroles, ground water, etc.) to strengthen
volcanic monitoring and surface geothermal exploration research. Gas remote
sensing skills will be also desirable.

For those interested in applying your Expression of Interest should include:
· your detailed C.V. that reflects established skills that meet one of the
above postdoctoral research profiles
· confirmation of your eligibility (Ph.D. degree obtained before 1 January
2025)

The characteristics of the postdoctoral positions are:

   - · Contract duration: 2 years
   - · Gross salary: 33.445,64 for the first year and 34.336,93 for the
   second year.
   - · you can be any citizenship.

Inquiries can be directed toward Nemesio M. Perez, Scientist-in-charge of
INVOLCAN and the Director of the ITER`s Environmental Research
Division at *nperez@xxxxxxx
<nperez@xxxxxxx>*. The *deadline for expressions of interest is 1 December
2024*.

We hope to see you in sunny Tenerife! Did you know: the ancients called the
Canary Islands the â??fortunate islesâ??? They werenâ??t wrong then, and they
wouldnâ??t be now either.

Best regards
Nemesio M. Pérez
