The USGS Geosciences and Environmental Change Science Center is seeking a
geologist to join our team in Lakewood, CO. This position focuses on
working with geochronology data for the USGS Geochron database effort

The position will be filled at the GS-9 grade level and is a term
appointment not-to-exceed 13 months with possible extensions up to a total
of 4 years.
Duties for this position will include:

   - Using knowledge in geology and geochronology to integrate existing
   literature and available data to expand a geochronologic database. This
   includes the compilation and synthesis of existing data.
   - Managing geospatial and geochronologic datasets for geologic deposits
   and geomorphic features to advance project goals, facilitate resource
   assessments or inventories, and/or improve the characterization of geologic
   hazards.
