This one-year position, with the possibility of renewal, focuses on understanding the physicochemical dynamics of magma ascent through volcanic conduits using petrological tools and numerical modeling. Requirements: - A degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geological Sciences, or Geophysical Sciences. - A PhD (minimum three years) in a related field. - Documented scientific and professional experience through employment at universities or research centers, publications, conference participation, and research projects. - Strong programming skills in Fortran, Python, MATLAB, R, and experience in developing computational codes. - Ability to develop and use complex numerical models to simulate fluid behavior, with experience in statistical result analysis. - (Preferred but not mandatory) Understanding of the physicochemical mechanisms controlling degassing and crystallization of magmas in volcanic conduits.
