The symposium consists of a series of oral presentations and a poster session on topics of: Ocean drilling around caldera Difference between marine and on land tephra records Crustal tectonics and eruptions Petrology and mineralogy on magma supply system Geophysical imaging beneath and around caldera Difference between caldera and non-caldera eruptions Submarine volcanic eruptions After the meeting, we are also planning a field trip about the Kikai submarine caldera volcano and its eruption deposits in southwest Japan. We can support some presenters for their travel costs. The deadline for application for presentation, field trip, and travel grant is 31st October 2023 (note it is not the final deadline for abstracts).
