2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 From: Pavel Izbekov <peizbekov@xxxxxxxxxx> Dear friends and colleagues, We have a few spots still available for the 2023 field trip to Katmai, Alaska. We use the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes as a natural classroom to discuss a variety of volcanic processes using products of the 1912 eruption of Novarupta/Katmai as examples. This is a physically demanding, backpacking trip, best suited for students interested in volcanology, petrology, and natural hazards mitigation. Colleagues with advanced degrees are welcome to join us to share their wisdom and enrich the content of the course. Three credits from UAF will be awarded to registered students at undergraduate or graduate level after the successful completion of the course. Dates: June 4-17, 2023 Cost: $3,350 â?? 4,652 plus airfare to Anchorage, Alaska Details are available at https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.uaf.edu/geosciences/academics/international-volcanology/index.php__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!Y3HLju3fmTw8AoiIVWlDmbwDU9A3wCu1L1Vrdzq78Nqd4wLWXe2U9fCuIkanVvLlp24RXhHP5v9Q_2E4$ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.uaf.edu/geosciences/academics/international-volcanology/index.php__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!ZB6u434caaRb0KprSAm78oh6kNX1RCHZyi2iTs2asXTDqHhyp5PUPSil6_4213sOKDpC765ic3ZxHGhxqF-T$> Please share with interested students and colleagues. 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 ------------------------------
