The CONVERSE Center, funded by NSF to help the US volcano community prepare for eruptions in order to maximize the scientific return from a response, is coordinating communications and initiatives to study this eruption. The current actions, listed below, are guided by the lessons learned through the CONVERSE Research Coordination Network (RCN) activities and events over the last three years. 1. A science Advisory Committee for Hawaii (*H-SAC*) has been established to facilitate communication and coordination between the USGS Hawaii Volcano Observatory and academics interested in responding to the eruption.
