The researchers will contribute to the goals of the GRIMLINS project which focuses on relating spectral characteristics to petrologic and morphologic characteristics of molten lava. Related experience could include igneous petrology, geochemistry, remote sensing, VNIR spectroscopy, thermal-IR spectroscopy, physical volcanology, or experimental petrology. An interest in mentoring and participating in group meetings, field work, and outreach activities is a plus! Salary is $58,000. Negotiable start date.
