Our main goal is to gather a rich and diverse community of people to address the theme of monogenetic volcanism and its interaction with Nature (including us) in an integral way. Our program now also includes the names of several renowned scientists who have kindly agreed to come to Morelia to deliver keynotes on fundamental aspects of monogenetic volcanism and its relation with human communities. Last but not least, we are able to offer a wide selection of pre- and post-conference field trips on the diverse monogenetic fields that occur in the central and eastern parts of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt.
