Please let us know if you are interested â?? or if you would like to nominate a colleague â?? by 15 October 2022. Ideally, we would like to see some diversity in terms of field/modeling focus, geographic representation, and website/social media experience from both senior and early career scientists. Since its creation in 2003, the IAVCEI Commission on Tephra Hazard Modeling has worked on key issues in tephra hazard research and applications. We bring together scientists with different specializations (e.g., field-based physical volcanologists, petrologists, and modelers) to expand the understanding of hazardous processes and improve tephra-related models. The commission is open to anyone interested in tephra hazards who would like to contribute to activities, working groups, or to simply stay in the loop.
