Department of Geological Sciences, The University of Alabama* The Department of Geological Sciences at The University of Alabama (UA) invites applications for the endowed Loper Professorship. The position will be filled at the rank of Full or Associate Professor beginning August 16, 2023. We seek a colleague who will complement/enhance our existing research strengths, which include geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, paleoclimate, paleontology, petrology, planetary science, sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, tectonics, and volcanology.
