Dear members of the volcanological community,

The new schedule for abstract submission and registration to the 11th
Conference Cities on Volcanoes (Heraklion, Crete, June 12-17, 2022) has
been recently announced on the COV11 website
(
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://pcoconvin.eventsair.com/volcanoes11/__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!KoI7njuceTPfw3nbQ5LNh_3lCzirLUKWl602gd_oBtRvKutuCw2EI3gOqieUDZ4$
)
and is reminded here
below:

Registration opening: January 14
Abstract submission opening: January 10
Abstract submission deadline: February 13
Notification of abstract acceptance: March 7
Early Registration deadline: March 25
Final Program: April 4

Also programmed are pre-and post-conference field trips on active
volcanoes of the Hellenic arc (Methana, Nisyros, Santorini, Milos, and
Psiloritis). June 17 will be devoted to visits of the Archeological
Museum and Knossos site.

Cities on Volcanoes Conferences typically promote networking and direct
exchanges between volcanologists, emergency managers, and stakeholders.
Thanks to advances in anti-Covid vaccination and high-level safety
conditions locally warranted by the Greek LOC, we do expect and
encourage the in-person participation of many of you. 24 previously
accepted travel grants were already re-confirmed, and we deeply thank
all those who decided to maintain their previous registration and
abstract submission (437 abstracts as a whole).
However, in order to enable a maximum of interested persons to
participate, COV11 will also offer the possibility of on-line
participation to all those who would face traveling, sanitary or
financial restrictions.

See you numerous in beautiful Crete Island or/and virtually connected
to COV11 in June 2022!
