The IAVCEI informs that its call for nominations to the 2022 IAVCEI
Award for Volcano Surveillance and Crisis Management (VSCM) is now
opened. This Award, delivered every two years on occasion of Cities on
Volcanoes (COV) Conferences, is designated to honor the personnel of
Volcano Observatories and/or other Institutions who made remarkable
contributions to volcano surveillance and eruption forecasting, hazard
assessment and mitigation efforts, and/or effective crisis management.

Previous Awardees were:
2018 â?? Center for Volcanology and Geologic Hazards Mitigation (CVGHM)
(Pusat Vulkanologi an Mitigasi Bencana Geologi) â?? INDONESIA
2020 â?? Instituto Geofisico Escuelo Polytecnica Nacional (IGEPN) â??
ECUADOR

The 2022 VSCM will be delivered during the COV-11 Conference in Crete
(Heraklion, Greece) in June 2022. The nomination dossiers will have to
be submitted before the 11th of March and sent to the IAVCEI President
