From: "Jordan, Brennan T" <Brennan.Jordan@xxxxxxx>

This message is an informal call for qualified individuals that might be
interested in taking a faculty role in the Iceland Volcanology Field Camp
offered by the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. The field camp
is a 4-credit course taught over a period of 3.5 weeks in late summer. The
camp has been taught annually since 2012. The course is a blend between a
traditional geology field camp mapping course and an introduction to
physical volcanology. Ideal candidates will have field camp teaching
experience, a background in petrology/volcanology, and some experience in
Iceland, though the latter is not essential. The intention is to hire
individuals who will teach at the camp annually, on an ongoing basis. A
Ph.D. is required, and applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
(even though the instruction is delivered overseas).

If you are interested in learning more please email current camp
coordinator Brennan Jordan (brennan.jordan@xxxxxxx) to discuss this
opportunity. This message is not an official position announcement. The
formal hiring process will involve a general position announcement for
field camp Lecturer positions at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology
that will be posted in the Spring of 2022 (an annual call that recruits
candidates for the wide array of geology field camps offered by SD Mines).
