Dear colleagues,

we have opened a position for a postdoctoral researcher to work with me
and Prof. Daniel Mège at the Mars Exploration Lab of the Space Research
Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences (SRC PAS) in Warsaw, Poland.

The researcher will work in an exciting new project "DeMo-Planet:
Modelling of crustal Deformation caused by magma intrusion on
terrestrial Planetary bodies" in collaboration with a strong team of
experts from Norway, France and Ireland, and will have as main aim to
develop a Distinct Element Method (DEM) modelling application of magma
intrusion (laccoliths and cryptodomes) emplacement in fractured host
rocks similar to examples found on Earth, the Moon and Mars.
Python/Matlab experience will be an asset. PhDs in Volcanology,
Geophysics as well as in geo- or computer-engineering are as well warmly
invited to apply. As long as your keen fascination is with the
fascinating world of Volcanic Plumbing Systems!

Application deadline is 15th of September or until the position is
filled. The succesful candidate can start from 1st of October 2021
onwards, the project ends end of July 2023.
