Areas of high priority include geochronology and high- and low-temperature geochemistry related to the field of Earth and planetary evolution. Our intent is to hire at the tenure-track assistant professor level, but more senior appointments may be considered in special cases, commensurate with experience. Faculty duties include teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as oversight of research, and candidates should be capable of instructing in our core educational curricula. EAPS is an academic community of approximately 40 faculty, 100 research staff (including postdocs), and 180 students, who study integrated aspects of Earth and planetary sciences, some of which in partnership with the MIT-WHOI Joint Program.
