Computational science relies on infrastructure that includes the hardware on which simulations are run, the software and the documentation accompanying it, and the professional community network that enables the production of scientific insight out of these components. We are excited to invite you to a *Workshop on the future of computational infrastructure for volcanology. * *Feb 5, 2020, 11 am to 3 pm US Eastern time* We will discuss community needs and wishes for such infrastructure and facility, learn from the experience of an existing volcanology facility (VHUB) as well as similar and related efforts (CSDMS, CIG, and the USGS). We will have breakout rooms to discuss topics such as platforms, required capabilities, governance structure, and training.
