Greetings from the 2021GSA Cordilleran Section Meeting Committee!

We would like to invite you to submit session proposals for next year's GSA
Cordilleran Section meeting held in Reno, Nevada. We hope for a broad
spectrum of cordilleran geology that will be presented next year.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Deadline: 2 August 2020

We are excited to announce that the GSA 2021 Cordilleran Section Meeting
will be held in Reno, Nevadaâ??a modern boomtown, situated within the Basin
and Range and at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.

The organizing committee is now accepting proposals for Theme Sessions,
Field Trips, and Short Courses. In light of the present circumstances, the
meeting will have a hybrid (virtual/in-person) approach to allow as many
people to participate in the meeting as possible. We thus also encourage
submissions for virtual field trips (opening up field trips to anywhere on
Earth and beyond, e.g. the Moon, Mars, etc.), virtual short courses, and/or
virtual panel discussions.

Proposal submissions must include:

â?¢ Title of Session/Field Trip/Short Course
â?¢ Principal organizer (name, affiliation, and email)
â?¢ Co-organizers (names, affiliations, and emails), if applicable
â?¢ Preference for format (oral or poster), if applicable
â?¢ Short description (50 words or fewer)

Please submit your proposal electronically. If there are any questions,
please email the appropriate Chair(s) listed below.

Thank you for your ideas; we look forward to seeing you virtually or
in-person in Reno in 2021.

Organizing Chair: Stacia Gordon

Technical Program Co-Chairs: Wendy Calvin, Kait Keegan, Philipp
